Meet the Team

LIzzie Stafford

Director and Principal Therapist

Life’s challenges can feel overwhelming, especially when struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, PTSD, or complex trauma. I’m here to help you navigate these difficulties and build the tools you need to feel better and live more freely. With years of experience working in both private practice and hospitals, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals through some of their most difficult times, and I understand how hard it can be to take that first step toward healing.

I specialize in anxiety, depression, PTSD, and complex trauma, using evidence-based therapies like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). These therapies help you challenge negative thought patterns, embrace acceptance, and process past experiences in a safe, effective way.

Therapy is a collaborative journey, and I strive to create a warm, compassionate space where you feel heard and supported. Whether you’re dealing with trauma, anxiety, or depression, I’m here to walk alongside you with practical tools and gentle guidance.
When I’m not in the therapy room, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my young family. Balancing a busy career and family keeps me grounded to the importance of self-care, which I encourage all my clients to prioritise where they can.
If you’re ready to take the next step toward healing, I’d love to support you on that journey.

John Andreadis

I’m John Andreadis, and I offer a warm and encouraging space where individuals and couples can address challenges, process difficult experiences and find pathways to their version of a good life.

I understand that at times, life can be difficult, confusing or painful – even for the most capable people. At this time, anyone with an internet connection has access to more information than any time we know of. Yet, despite all of this knowledge, and many other resources and tools, many people still wonder, ‘Why don’t I feel better?’

In my years of providing therapy, I’ve had the privilege of sitting with people through some of their most challenging times. People experience challenges with a huge range of things in life including relationships, loss, parenting, illness, mental health conditions, and just making sense of life itself. Whatever the challenges are, I understand that taking the first step to talk to someone new can be difficult, so it is always my intention to create a space that is as comfortable as possible for you.

I value a compassionate and flexible orientation to therapy. My general process, whether collaborating with individuals or couples, begins by getting an understanding of your goals, before exploring which techniques may be most helpful for you. I have experience and training in a range of evidence based therapies including Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS). I have also trained in yoga and mindfulness which have contributed to an open and curious approach to growth and healing.

Outside of the therapy space, I love spending time with my human and canine pack mates, and doing things like bushwalking, gardening, building things, meditation, or going to music festivals – which keep me grounded and connected. I’ve had my own experience as a client of therapy and my life experience supports my understanding of the work I do with clients.

I’m passionate about supporting people who are ready to explore meaningful inner and outer change.

Shannon Edwards

My work as a clinician is rooted in my genuine passion and comfort in sitting alongside you with those, sometimes overwhelming, emotions. I work from a person-centred framework and I tailor my approach to your needs and to the unique circumstances that have made you into the extraordinary person you are today. I am passionate about self-identity, finding ‘purpose’ and forming deeper relationships with those in our worlds.

I use multiple therapeutic modalities including ACT, DBT, CBT, psychoeducation about Attachment, skill building and more. As a clinician, I centre you, the client, as the expert in your own life with my role as guide on the journey back to yourself. I am transparent in my communication and value your autonomy to make decisions that are right for you.

I love to learn and teach, expanding my knowledge as a clinician whenever I can. This has led me to tutoring at QUT and as a supervisor/mentor to social work students and early career graduates.

My previous roles provided me with the privilege of supporting young people from all walks of life with various mental health concerns. I sincerely adore working with adolescents and youth, always reflecting on how much they teach and guide me just as much as I do them (I’ll be holding out for the first “you’re pretty cool”). My recent work includes trauma informed and compassionate care for first responders, working with complex and sensitive issues.

I work with individuals from 12 years old and upwards across a range of concerns. My areas of interest are:
Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Self Esteem & Self Worth, Emotional Regulation, Gender & Sexuality, Neurodiversity, Family and Relationship Struggles, Parenting Support, Self-harm & Suicidal thoughts, Identity and Purpose, Clinical Supervision, Adolescent & Youth (12yrs – 25yrs)

In session, I am here to make your mind and body feel safe. I truly understand the vulnerability and courage it takes to begin, or return, to therapy and I will be here to make this process a bit lighter. I believe that the relationship between therapist and client is at the core of all types of counselling and I value this relationship above all else.

I look forward to meeting you and starting this journey together.
Love and light, Shannon.
